The home theater store that opened in Mary Pickford’s Virginia home

Virginia’s new home theater retailer is hoping to expand to new markets.

The Mary Pickfords Home Theater Store is opening its first stores in the District of Columbia and the Carolinas.

The company is planning to open about 30 new stores in 2018 and 2019, including in Virginia, the company announced on Wednesday.

The store’s website states the company has been in business for more than 40 years, but it says its origins come from a small store in Marysville, Virginia, where Mary Pickforth grew up.

Mary Pickfels daughter, Jennifer, opened the store in her mother’s Virginia hometown in 2009.
