Rosemont Theatre opens in Miami, where it is known for its original movie theater

Posted September 21, 2018 08:14:29 The Rosemont Theater in Miami will open on Sunday, September 21 for the first time in more than 100 years, when the historic building, home to the Rosemont Picture Theatre for nearly a century, is officially opened.

The Rosemont Movie Theatre in Miami reopened in September of 1891 and has been home to several film festivals including the Sundance Film Festival, Toronto International Film Festival and the Sunday Film Festival.

The new Rosemont theater is one of the largest film houses in the United States, with over 1,500 seats, with a total capacity of nearly 1,200.

Its location in Miami’s historic heart means that fans of the iconic movie can go where they want and when they want.

Its a major change for the Rosemary Pickford Theater, which is known to be one of Rosemont’s most popular venues and the venue of choice for a number of popular movies including, “The Mummy,” “The Bride of Frankenstein,” “Gravity,” “Logan,” “Mamma Mia!” and many more.
